Mural Map & Community History Toolkit
As a result of both the “Rural Generation Summit” and “Rural Arts & Culture Summit” in 2019, Springboard and artist Shel Neymark created a toolkit to help create art that engages with the local community and amplifies local history. In their words, “we hope you see paths for your own community in [the toolkit]. Whether you wind up making informational signposts, or a community play, or painting murals, or replicating the ceramics process, artists play an active and critical role as the storytellers, preservationists, and welcomers to our towns.”
